Experienced Mechanics Wanted

Part time and full time positions available. We are a non-profit bike shop that refurbishes bicycles to sell and offers full service
repairs. We have a youth job training and environmental education
program that works with teenagers to teach them bicycle mechanics,
job skills, and environmental stewardship. We are looking for someone who is interested in working with us to get all types of riders and bikes on the road.

Requirements and responsibilities for this position are:

-Experience as a mechanic in a bike shop with references.
-Proficient in bicycle overhaul techniques.
-Knowledge of older bicycles, cup and cone bearing systems, and 3 speed hubs.
-Knowledge of bicycle styles and sizing to assist customers.
-Ability to diagnose repairs, estimate cost and turnaround time, and inspect bikes for safety.
-Correct use of advanced tools.
-Use of Point of Sale system.
-Ability to help customers and represent organization in a professional manner.

Wage dependent on experience.
